Jintian Wang

I'm an MPhys physics student at the University of Oxford (Exeter College), originally from Shanghai. I like building things end to end: from solving the differential equations, to writing the code, to soldering the hardware that makes it move.

My work sits at the intersection of physics, computation, and interaction: VR hand-tracking systems, transformers built from scratch, fine-tuned language models, and a DIY 3D printer. This site collects those projects along with notes and writing.

AdventureX Hackathon

Hangzhou · July 2025

Built OneTouchReality with two teammates: an interactive bionic robotic arm combining Python computer vision, Unity VR control, and Arduino hardware. I designed and implemented the virtual-to-physical synchronization — the system that later evolved into SecondTouchReality.

Physics Club — Vice President

Independent research (IPQ)

Studied the period of a physical pendulum oscillating in water: surveyed the literature, built two independent models by solving the governing differential equations, then designed experiments to test the models against each other.
