Building a static site without Jekyll
This site is intentionally plain: one stylesheet, one script file, and a handful of pages. That keeps updates cheap. The main goal is to show clear information quickly: who I am, what I build, what I read, and how to contact me.
For a personal site, the highest-value content is usually not the design itself. It is the structure: a homepage with a clear summary, a projects page with evidence of work, and a blog or notes section for ongoing thinking.
